Krašov Castle

Krašov Castle is a castle ruin in the Pilsen Region of Czech Republic, 11 km from Kralovice in the Pilsen-North District. The castle is located on a rock above the inlet of the Brodeslav brook to Berounka at an altitude of 310 meters, near the village of Bohy, about 1.2 km downstream (north) from the settlement Krašov (Krašovský mlýn).

Bohemian Crown Jewels

The crown has an unusual design, with vertical fleurs-de-lis standing at the front, back and sides. Made from 22-carat gold and a set of precious 19 sapphires, 30 emeralds, 44 spinels, 20 pearls, 1 ruby, 1 rubellite and 1 aquamarine, it weighs 2475g. At the top of the crown is the cross, which reportedly stores a thorn from Christ's crown of thorns.

Karlštejn Castle

Karlštejn Castle is a large Gothic castle founded 1348 by Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor-elect and King of Bohemia. Located about 30 kilometres southwest of Prague above the village of the same name, it is one of the most famous and most frequently visited castles in the Czech Republic.
