Underwater Archaeology in the Czech Republic V.- Letošice Power Plant

Diving site - remains of buildings and power plant drive. Depth approx. 40 meters. Loc: 49st.28min 11.7 sec N, 14st10min11.4 sec E
Letoštice power plant was built in 1920-23 on the site of a former mill. The Power plant was be in operasting from 23 May 1923. In the power plant building, there were 3 vertical Frencis turbines, each with the output of 420 kW, which were produced and delivered by the Prague ČKD in 1922. The power plant was in operation in 1923-1957. In November 1960 the already destroyed power plant building disappeared irreversibly below the surface of the Orlik lake.
