Timber frame construction - medieval groove construction

This is a video of building a replica of a medieval village house from the 9th century, according to the findings in Březno u Loun in Czech Republic.

The Březno Archaeological Open-Air Museum was established as a workshop of experimental archeology on the site of an important polycultural locality near Postoloprty town in the Louny district. Long-term research here has documented the development of human settlement from the Neolithic to the early Middle Ages. The research took place in the years 1954–1973 and since 1981 there has been a workplace of experimental archeology, the aim of which was to verify the functionality of period tools, technical complexity of buildings, material consumption,  germination of grain from storage pits or living conditions in summer and winter.
