A man was harvesting beets and found a half-kilo diadem from the Bronze Age

A few days ago, a farmer, who wishes to remain anonymous, found a several-thousand-year-old jewel weighing 600 grams in the Opava region while harvesting beets. He came to hand over the Bronze Age diadem to the Opava museum. According to the law, the find belongs to the Moravian-Silesian Region, so the jewel ended up in the collections of the Museum in Bruntál. Based on the first cursory inspection, experts conclude that the diadem  is from the middle to younger bronze period. It is most likely made of pure gold.
